Safety
2008 Raider
Safety* takes many forms. And Raider takes them all very seriously. From passive to active safety, Raider's always got your back.
Advanced Front Airbags
Raider comes standard with dual advanced front airbags with two-stage inflators†
Anti-Lock Brakes
Raider offers standard rear-wheel anti-lock brakes to help make sure you're in control. Whether the bed is empty or toting a full payload, the brakes will be up to the task.
Strong, Rigid Chassis
Raider's fully boxed steel frame with hydro-formed octagonal rail tips ensures secure handling and bigger payload capacity.
LATCH System
Lower anchors and tethers for children (LATCH) help simplify the attachment of child safety seats; making it easier for you to help keep your child safe.
Top Crash-Test Rating
When the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced its rollover ratings and crash test results for the 2008 model year vans and pickup trucks, what truck came out with the highest rating? You guessed it: The Mitsubishi Raider Double Cab**. We already knew it was tops in safety, but it's always nice to hear that the experts agree.
*Safety is a two-way street. It requires your attention and cooperation. Please remember to fasten your safety belt, sit well back in your seat and remain upright, properly adjust your head restraint, drive responsibly and obey all traffic laws.

**Government star ratings are part of the NHTSA's New Car Assessment Program (www.safercar.gov).

†Airbags are part of a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). To decrease the risk of injury from a deploying airbag, always wear your seatbelt, sit upright in the middle of the seat and do not lean against the door. Always place children 12 and under in the rear seat and use appropriate child restraints. Never place a rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat. See your Owner's Manual and instructions provided with your child restraint for additional information.
